Spread the love

Bhai, Tum excited ho ya nahi? Bhaii, tum excited ho ya nahi!

Jao yeh sawal usse pucho jisne hume itna wait karwaya dusre blog ke liye.

Sorry sorry, that’d be my fault! The COVID vaccine got me for good!

Anyways, the wait is finally over and we are back with another blog. As we saw in the earlier blogs, Indian cinema history goes way back and during these years it produced many great actors and actresses. But there are always some who mark their name in the legendary book of Bollywood. So we will look at the top 30 actors of all time who became immortal with their acting. We will consider their contribution and acting skills over the number of hits that they have given, which might leave us open to some upsets but kya kare, ganda hai par dhandha hai yeh!

We will begin in T minus 5….4….3….2………1. Initiating starting sequence.

30. Shahrukh Khan

A lot of you are going to question this and there might be a backlash but I have nobody that I can replace him for a higher spot. Also known as King Khan. Shahrukh redefined romance on screen and became the king of romance with his series of hit films but the most famous of them was Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. He played many other types of roles later in his career but did not get the same amount of critical acclaim. His movie My Name is Khan was one of his movies for which he deserves this place. King Khan did give many many many hit films during his career. Shahrukh Khan has won 8 Filmfare for Best Actor and is also the most famous celebrity overseas after Amitabh Bachchan.

29. Akshay Kumar

From being almost broke and moving to Canada, to being a superstar in India, it sure was a long road for Akshay Kumar. Once he delivered 14 flops in a row and almost shifted to Canada. He also has Canadian Citizenship, he said in an interview. He started as a backup dancer and today he is one of the most consistent actors of Bollywood of our time. From comedy to action to serious movies, he has done it all.

28. Mithun Chakraborty

He needs no introduction to the Indian public. Mithun Chakraborty was a Naxalite in his early youth which he left after some years and returned to his family and started acting. His acting efficiency showed from his first film Mrigayaa, in which he won the National Film Award for best actor. During his first two decades in the film industry, he starred in 220 plus films(110 plus films in each of the two decades). He really proved himself in all the film industries including Bengali, Hindi and south Indian industries.

27. Govardhan Asrani

Yeh Angrezo ke zamane ke jailor hain! When we talk about side actors who really made an impact, Asrani’s name is on the top shelf. His acting career lasted over 4 decades and his versatility has been a big no brainer to think about. Asrani’s acting throughout his career has always been flawless and is certainly one of the legends of Bollywood.

26. Ranbir Kapoor

Many people advised me not to even consider Ranbir Kapoor for this place but I just had to. He made his entry as a chocolate boy and an actor who can only pull off a casanova as a character but he proved them all wrong by bagging back to back Filmfare for Best Actor awards for his amazing performances in Barfi and Rockstar. I know he has a lot of his career left ahead of him but that doesn’t change the fact that he is a great actor.

25. Nawazuddin Siddique

He is one of the most underrated actors of Bollywood or shall I say, he was? It amazes my mind that how does it take a man of his calibre more than 10 years to get a big break. He had cameos in movies like Munnabhai MBBS and Sarfarosh in his earlier years but that was it. He got his first big break in Gangs of Wasseypur movie series and well, do I need to speak more? He was flawless in this movie and then he was unstoppable. He literally turned himself in all into all the characters he played. His most recent and spectacular performance came in the series Sacred Games and sometimes I believe that wahi bhagwan hai!

24. Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn has had a long career which is still ongoing. He always has been a versatile actor and he has proved that time after time. He played an innocent man turned villain in the movie Apharan, a police officer in Singham, a common man in Drishyam and Bhagat Singh in Legend of Bhagat Singh for which he won the Filmfare and National Award for Best Actor.

If you thought that he didn’t deserve this place, think again.

23. Dharmendra

Dharmendra paaji has played an important role in the golden eras of Bollywood where he acted in movies like Sholay which is the epitome of success. He also has been given the Lifetime Achievement Award and awards for his invaluable contribution to Bollywood,

22. Manoj Bajpayee

He too is one of the most underrated Bollywood actors.  He was part of the 2 films which played a big part in revolutionizing Bollywood. First was a film that pioneered in showing the true gangster stories of Bombay, the movie Satya. And the second was Gangs of Wasseypur. Recently, he won the National Award for Best Actor for the film Bhonsle.

21. Sanjay Mishra

Not many of you know him but he is one of the best actors Bollywood has and ever had. When I see him on screen, I can see that he is not acting. It is always so natural that we never feel like we are watching a screen. He proved that one does not need dashing looks and a six-pack abs body to act. He has won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his amazing and flawless acting in the movie Akhoon Dekhi.
